Percentage Result showing incorrect result

Dear Experts ,

 

my report region wise sales and Sector wise sales, calculating percentage region wise and Sector wise, For example

Percentage calculation Net qty %A Net Qty for both column , displaying both column same percentage , i need display within %AGE column as Result  100% but it showing as per overall region percentage result, if we used two characterstic in report it not work on both charcterstic wise please let me know get each  region is 100%. thanks in advance who provider soultion

how to display filter values in analyzer

Hi expert,

 

      I want to add filter into analyzer, above data table, I insert a few rows, and add text to hold filters, but after quit from design mode, inserted rows for filters dispear, and its spaces are taken by data table. could you please tell how to display filter values .

BEx Web Local Formula Problem

Hi Experts!

 

If a user executing a report in the portal  tries to create a local formula and there is a key figure in the formula, then you can not hide the source key figure, if you do so, then the formula shows a blank result. Our user wants to show in the report only the local formulas that he has created, but it is not possible. Is this the normal behaviour or there is a problem with our version?

This issue does not occur in BEx Analyzer (Excel).

 

We are currently working in SAP BW 7.4 SP06.

Queries Performance impact

Hi Team,

 

          We have few queries which were running good until last week; but for the past 3 days these queries were facing severe some performance issues and timeout dumps in the back-end.

 

For some selections it is running long and for some selection it is executing quicker and for some selection it is getting time out.

 

We made a complete data rebuild for the queries connected data targets (data rebuild from the source) before 3 days; after which  the query performance issue faced.

 

No changes were made to the queries or objects for the last 2 months.

 

Data Flow -  Query -> Multi Provider -> Infoset -> InfoCube -> DSO -> Datasource (DB Connect).

 

Note:

In Query we have nested aggregation to handle the result rows; but again no changes to it for the past 2 months.

We have loaded data in one single request at the InfoCube level.

          I mean some 2 million records with different plants in one single request do it have performance impact while reading data?

 

Can anyone please throw light on the possible cause for the performance issue?

Graph Label Category

HI all, I need create a graph but I need show the percentage of participation, this percentage should be a category´s label, while the category value is a numeric value.

 

It´s posibble ???

report to report interface doubt , RSBBS tcode ?

Hi

 

I have gone thorugh sdn and could not get much details on this topic. There is a high level query A with the hierarchy restriciton for a single node, that is it will show the summary of that ( total hierarchy) in a row without hierarchy display and all the 3 amount fields related to it, YTD, and other period calculations.

 

Now I want to create a report B which will display the detailed level hierarchy of the single row in report A. so i believe we need to pass the hierarchy through hierarchy node variable in RSBBS tcode from report a to report B. Now my question is both the report's have the same column's and KF's and the same input selections. Do we need to pass the input selection of report A to report B as well or only the hierarchy variable ? Please advise if its not clear.

 

for example, report A

both the report have same KF's and filter's . now my questions.

 

1) do I need to have the same  user input selection created on report a as in report B ? Is it mandatory ?

 

2) if the user input some fy and fyperiod on report a, how will those be known to report B as we are passing only the hierarchy value through hierarchy node variable.

 

3)  how will the report B know about the user input selectioin given in report A ? Do we need to pass through in RSBBS from report a to report B ?

 

NOTE: report A and report B has the same filter's and same column's and same KF's. Its only the report A has an aggregated single row and report B has a hierarchy display of the info given in report A.

same queries reqd on custom provider

I have 4 queries on one standard cube. But now, i have created custome cube and I want to copy those queries to another cube and modify those queries as per user requirement.

 

 

 

So, do i need to create those 4 new queries or is there any option by which i can get same queries on new cube as well?

I have a requirements to get value in percentage, my BEx formula as follows.

 

NDIV0 ((Kf1/KF2))*100.

 

Which function can help to get value in percentage using above formula.

 

Please give some ideas.

Bex Query - Specific calculation in query result

Hi experts!

 

I've received a requirement and I cannot find any way to delivery it using the stantard operation or configuration into Bex Query.

 

We have a query which have three KF with summarization in result. The new requirement is based in the KF "POND" to change the calculation in the result. Below are the actual result and the expected result.

 

The actual query result.

The expect result based on the new requerment

Check out the "Total A" result for KF "POND", the new calculation is the sum of KF "POND" divided by the sum of KF "QTD" (13338 / 702 = 19)

 

The same to "Total B" result for KF "POND", the calculation is the sum of "POND" divided by sum of KF "QTD" ( (197400 + 118720) / (840 + 4240) = 62).

 

I've been using all recourses into Bex query, but I've haven't found any way to deliver this requirement, though.

 

I'd really appreciate if anyone could give me some suggestion to deliver this requirement.

Copy of Bex query..Restricted key figures changing automatically..

Hi Friends,

 

As I have a requirement to create  a report by taking same info cube.

 

Query Description: DTDF As on 30.09.12

Technical Name: ZxxC15_30092012

 

Hint given by client

(you copy the exising query & change FI Posting Dates in Key Figs

restrictions - Query Description: DTDF As on 30.06.2012

Technical Name: ZxxC15_30062012)..

 

 

Steps done by me :

 

Open the query :DTDF As on 30.06.12> Save as > rename the query as > DTDF As on 30.09.2012 >  And I changed all the key figure restriction as <= SEP (earlier it was june in old query).

 

When I save the query it prompts

 

"Info query as reusable saving can influence other query " 

 

and I save the query, When I returned back to see the old report (DTDF as on 30.06.2013 then there in restricted key figures which  has updated as the latest date as September) I made a changes in new save as query but it is reflecting the changes in Restricted key figures.in old query)

 

Requirement :

I want two reports one for June report(which shows before June details which is already exists and

other one for SEP (Which shows September)

 

 

Problem faced

Making a changes in new query reflecting other old query also (specially in restricted key figures)

I want the old query has to remain as it is

The new save as query has to changed only posting date filed from June to September

 

 

Need your assistance

How to avoid the following problem.

 

(I tried saving the key figures structure in Columns of Bex query and selected the options remove the restrictions.even than also under the folder of Restricted key figures it is updating the latest changes in old query.

 

Please suggest ,

Bex 3.5 report giving an error while reading data

Hello Experts,

 

I have built new (Version BW 3.5)Bex report on virtual info-provider(Infocube). It is sucessfully running for my ID.

But while business user running same query, getting below error message.

 

I have checked authorization of object (Info-providers- Infocube, multiprovider) to user but unable to get it.

Could you please help ?

SAP BI BROADCASTER NOT WORKING

Dear All,

 

I tried accessing Broadcaster from SAP BEX Designer but nothing pop's up.

I assume that might be the issue with configuration of Broadcaster .

Please help me with steps of Broadcaster configuration.

I am Working on SAP BI 7.0 and planning to publish reports on user e-mail's via broadcaster.

Please help.

Bex query - Date issue.

Hi ,

 

I have a requirement from my customer who wants to see the data for the latest date as compared to the value he inputs.

 

For eg:

 

In the attached snapshot

If you look at the first item it has two costs 05/01/2012 and 27/05/2013 along with the other ones.

I would like the report to show me only 27/05/2013 as it is the latest cost closest to 30/09/2013

So if I put a selection in the query to say costs less than 30/09/2013  the report would give me the two costs which are prior to that date but i would want only the latest date to be displayed.

How to change the "Status of Data" in BEx Analyzer

Hi All,

 

We have a BEx report on multiprovider and this multiprovider designed with 2 cubes. One cube is for history & 2nd cube is for current data.

Users are seeing "Status of Data" as which ever is old date of request loaded date from both cubes. But we want to show them latest request date from both cubes as "Status of Data".

 

Ex - Cube1 - loaded on 06/01/2014   Cube2 - loaded on 01/01/2013

Status of Date will be 01/01/2013 if I run the report but Users want to see the 06/01/2014 as a Status of Date.

 

Please let me know if any anybody did this. I know I can do it web template level but I want to do this at Query Designer level so that I can move this change to Production.

Facing Issue with Stock Ageing report

In Blocked Stock Ageing report Output, I am facing following issues

 

 

1. Stock is correct but once we include the "Reason For Movement" then the aging is getting wrong  and in some cases value is coming Negative.

 

2. In some cases "Reason For Movement" is coming in ‘#’, but this is a mandatory field. Hence cannot be blank.

 

Note:

 

1. Overall stock is coming correct.

2. Reason Movement chat. is in free char

3. Report is based 0IC_C03.

Bex Brodcaster Pointing to the wrong Portal.

Dear Gurus,

 

We are trying to schdule the BI report to the e-mail id's of the users , Previouly we were doing it without any problem, But Past month we had changed our DNS name. We made the required changes in the RZ10 parameters, and in the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL.

Now when we open analyser and trying to publish the report on Portal , it was successful. Butas soon as we click on send tries to open another URL.

Which consist of the correct DNS name , but behind the screen it tries to open the old URL.

Please see the screen shot for more details.

How to display Fiscal year Value as FY12-13 instead of 2012 on Variable F4

Hi Expert,

               Our client want to see Fiscal Year value as FY 12-13, FY 13-14 instead of 2012, 2013 on variable F4. I tried to update text of Fiscal year in table '/BI0/TFISCYEAR' in SAP BW. But after that also F4 is not displaying FY 12-13. Can you please help how to achieve this in BW.
