cumulative logic is not working in bex

Hi Experts,

 

i have a requirment to develop a report on the below listed data.

now i have to make a selection screen on :

 

proj   , wbs , and Start date and End date.

 

and rep output will be like:

 

WBS     NETWORK   ACTIVITY  scope       cumulative work up to start date      *** work up to end date.

 

for this i have made a   characterstic restriction on proj , WBS . & Date  with interval.

 

but i am not able to apply the logic for cumulative up to start date and end date.

 

ouput is like:

so please help me to get the value for cumulative up to start date and end date.

Query designer 3.5 - SUMGT formula = 1

Hello,

 

I want to calculate the number of ligne in my query. To do this I create a column with formula = 1 and an other column with formula = SUMGT of first column. But the result is always 1. Why and how get the number of line?

               Column1 = 1       Column = SUMGT column1            Expected result

Line 1               1                              1                                              3

Line 2               1                              1                                              3

Line 3               1                              1                                              3

Group multiple Rows in to one

Hello Guru's

 

I have requirement where I have to show the Key figure value in one rows instead of multiple rows as shown below. The issue is Planned Time is being pulled from one infoprovider and Actual from Another infoprovider, In one of the infoprovider the values are posted as Not assiged and due to this the result in Bex are shown in two rows. A result (yellow) row on first characteristics sums up the results and shows correctly but requirement is row with Not assigned  values should show  but Key figure against it (Here 8 against Actual Time) should show on first row instead of second one. I have idea that this done using CKF's but not sure how to use them.  I will appreciate your help in this matter.

Time Buckets with multiple Key Figures in Each

Hello Experts,

 

I have seen documents creation of ageing buckets and calculations but not seen any document with ageing bucket having multiple Key Figures part of it.

User's have used Excel to create Bucket header and using V and H lookups they are populating data in to those columns. Is there a way we can achieve this in Bex Designer? Below is what needed on report which would give user's overview of Current Week, Previous Week, Last 4 weeks and Last 13 weeks. I have attached Snapshot for better Understanding

Changing location of parent node in BEx?

Hi-

 

I was wondering how to flip the location of parent nodes from the Query Designer side?  I know how to complete in Analyzer side (Query Properties --> Data Formatting --> select only "multidimensional View".  However, I cannot seem to do this from the Query Designer side.  I want the roll ups (parent nodes) to be displayed below base members (not above).

 

 

Bad:

Assets          10,0000

     Cars            5,000

    Trucks          5,000

 

 

Good:

 

Cars          5,000

Trucks      5,000

Assets     10,000

BEx: How to change a Query Variable that is not visible in Filters List?

Hello Experts,

 

Good day, I'm currently editing an old query, I am changing the Query Variables with new ones, but I found one variable that I cannot replace.

 

Please see the screenshot below, in the Query Properties Window [Variable Sequence Tab (right side of picture)] the Variable that I am trying to replace (Unit) is visible. But when I look for the variable in the "Filter Tab" (left side of picture) under Characteristic Restrictions, it doesn't exist in the list.

 

How can I find this Variable and replace it with a new one?

Other reports are still using this variable so it will impact the other reports if I simply edit the variable. So I need to replace it with a new variable instead.

Target currency does not exist (although fix target currency used)

Hello!

 

we are using BW 7.3 and I have a problem with currency translation in bex query designer.

 

I have currency conversion type in RSCUR called EUR_PC:

It has fix target currency "EUR", exchange rate type "P" and time reference is based on an InfoObject.

 

It has already been used in some query and worked fine for years.

Two weeks ago I created a new query and i wanted to use this currency type. But when i click on the key figure >> Conversions Tab >> select the Conversion Type EUR_PC >> then it shows only crosses in the target currency field.

Could anybody help me, please?  I have no idea what's wrong here....

Structure - suppress zero rows

Hi BW people,

 

I found very similar topics on this forum concerning suppressing zero rows in structures but not exaclty the same case nor an answer.

 

<u><b>Query</b></u>

I have a structure in the rows with several selections (S1, S2, S3) and beneath that structure a characteristic. To keep it simple: there is only one key figure in the columns.

 

<u><b>Aim</b></u>

I would like to have the <i>non-zero</i> key figure for all materials (M1, M2,...) for each selection in the structure.

So it should look like this:

S1   M1   50
S2   M2   100
S3   M3   90

 

Unfortunately I get this:

S1   M1   50
S1   M2
S1   M3
S2   M1
S2   M2   100
S2   M3
S3   M1  
S3   M2   20
S3   M3   70

 

So, even if the key figure for M2 and M3 (for selection S1) is zero, it is shown because these materials have a non-zero key figure elsewhere in the selection.

 

<u><b>Condition</b></u>

I tried about every possibility of 'conditions', but again the same problem: they are evaluated on the whole structure AND material, and not on every separate line of the report.

 

Anybody a solution? I would be grateful as I have tried quite a lot of work arounds.

anybody has got an idea how to make a BEX report

on a historized masterdata infoobjects,
being able to review all the history of the masterdata,

not only for one defined reference /due / cut off date a single masterdata dataset ?

Documents in portal not visible

Dear experts,

 

I have a problem with documents created in BEx query designer:

 

I have created documents for calculated key figures in BEx query designer. The problem is, that this documents are not shown (e.g. as document icon) when the query is executed. If I create documents for InfoObjects in the BW backend they are shown with an document icon during query execution.

 

Do you know why this problem occurs?

Sum only visible key figure structures

Hi experts,

 

I've created report where there there are 5 key figure structures in columns, at the and there is formula for total. User asked me if there is a way he can filter and make the combo of the structures at his pleasure but in order that to work total formula must update dynamically based on whats visible.

 

I've lost add yellow result column options due to structures.

BEx Report - Graph Display

I am trying to achieve the below graph design.It is a bar chart for Utilization, and the extra thing I need to add is a line at 50% as the Target  and this is contant and the Utilization changes.

 

How can I display the extra line for Target..

Calendar Year/week 2014 53rd week

Hi Experts,

 

I have a BEx query that users use for comparison between previous and current Months, between previous and current Year and previous and current week of the year.

In 2013 we have 52 weeks but in 2014 we have 53 weeks

Users want to compare sales on weekly basis based on previous years and the current year but 53rd week on 2014 year is messing up the numbers.

is it possible to exclude or include this 53rd week from the query by using some kind of filter or variable.

Can you please help me the step by step process on how I can achieve this..

 

Also please advise if I use this BEx query as a source for BOBJ webi query, is it easy to achieve this task in webi and How ?

 

Will appreciate your help.

HR report on wage type

I have requirement report requirement like this employee, cps , basic ,da  ,subscription =10%(basic+da)

but if i restrict info object  subtype of CPS there is no values of DA ,Basic  because here one more field is there wage type if i

restrict cps values on  infoobject subtype the wage type value is displaying 2135 and other component like DA wage type is restricted  1020 and basic wage type is 1000 and pass your inputs on this report

Popup message when executing report

Hi All,

 

We have requirement that when the report is executed for a certain selection, a warning popup should come then the report should execute after pressing enter by the user.

 

We have done the same using CMOD i step = 3, but the problem is we are getting the Popup when executing the report in RSRT but not in ABAP or Java Web.

 

We are in SAP BW 7.3 SP 05.

 

Kindly help me in this.

Sorting List of Values in F4 search for Query Variable

Hi All,

 

We have a requirement to restrict no of values in descending order for Calender Year on F4 help in query execution. I have implemented BADI RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT_BADI to restrict values appearing but not able to sort the final output. I checked and found that sorting is being handled through  class CL_RSMD_RS_SPECIAL over the restricted values in BADI.Can anyone help on how to achieve sorting for final output of F4 healp.

Order query by empty position - BEX query

Hi,

We need to order a BEX query by Invoice and Ascending Position (we need to see first the empty position #).

The type of the infoObject "Position" is NUMC (6).

 

We tried to convert it to char, but it didn't work.

We also ordered the query by position ascending, but the result we obtained is:

Bex text variable not giving desired output

Hi all,

 

I am creating text variable for 0FISCPER to display dynamic description on the columns based on the user input.

 

I want to display the column descriptions as below:-

 

JAN-FEB     

 

2000

200

 

but instead its displaying as:-

 

Period 01 2013 - Period 02 2013

 

2000

200

 

I tried with replacing both with info object (key and label) and variable.

My understanding is when we use text variables as reference to an infoobject, it displays either its key from infoobject master data table or text from text tables. please correct me if i am wrong.

 

but when i am checking 0fiscper tables, i can see text maintained as JAN, FEB ....and i am not sure from where text variable is pulling this description.

 

 

 

Please advise what could be the issue or am I  missing something.

Bex Query Calculation at totals based on detailed level

Hi Gurus,

 

I have two reports in one workbook in the same sheet. One report is at part level detailed and other report is at Plant total level.

In the Plant level total I have to write some formulas based on the each part level to total and divide with whole Plant total. Two Reports are from Same Info Cube. Below is the example with data.

In the first table we have three parts ( grouped by color ).

For Direct Labor : I have to Calculate as shown below

 

(( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM ) + ( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM ) + ( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM ))  / Plant Total GUM 

 

Plant Total GUM ->  From Plant Totals

Part Level Direct Labor  -> From First Part Level Data

Part Level GUM Total   -> From First Part Level Data.

 

How can I calculate the formula from parts data in the Plant Total report

Report designer error "LINKED_DATA_PROVIDER_REF_LIST"

Hi all,

 

I am creating a report in report designer but when I am executing report although report is showing data but at the selection screen it is giving the error "LINKED_DATA_PROVIDER_REF_LIST" as shown in below screenshot.

I am not able to figure out what is this error.

 

Also when I am trying to save report to PDF, I am getting the same error again, please see screenshot below:-

And Can I download the report created in Report designer to Excel as in other BEX tools? if yes, I am not getting this option, please let me know if any specific settings to be done for this.

 

Any help will be appreciated.
