How to join InfoObject 0mat_plant to 0material in Multiprovider

Hi Folks,

 

I have a multiprovider which is based on two InfoCubes.

 

In both InfoCubes I have the InfoObject 0material in the dimension.

 

Now I need to add the InfoObject 0mat_plant (which is a InfoProvider) to the multiprovider.

0mat_plant is not in the two InfoCubes!

 

In the first step I added the key part of 0mat_plant to my existing dimension where 0material also is included.

In the second step I asigned the key part 0plant to my existing plant in the dimension.

 

If run the query it shows me the correct material from 0material because this object is in the InfoCubes.

But for 0mat_plant I see only the plant value and not assigned.

 

The question is how can I link 0material (which is in the InfoCubes) to 0mat_plant which is not in the InfoCube?

workbook not refreshing

Hi Guys,

 

I am facing a problem to refresh the workbook.   when I created the workbook from a query it ask filter value on selection screen and gives me output. but after executing the report It is not refreshing for new selection.  I have already checked the workbook setting Refresh but still same problem Please help some one

Customer exit in bw-bex last day of the calendar year as initial value

Dear Experts,

 

I have a requirement for which i should create a customer exits variable wich has an initial value of the last day of the current calendar year.

For e.g by running the report the user should see 31.12.2014

Could you please help me with the code?

How to avoid Variable restriction in BEx / Workaround

Hi All,

 

I am working on a report in bex in which i should restrict by exclding a value from the characteristics and create an input variable on the charateristics.

The implementation is very fast and was done. But the problem is by the performance. By excluding values from the query, it is killing the performance during the runtime.

I am looking for a workaroung how i could exclude the value or intervall from the selection without influcing the performance.

Any idea on how to realize such scnenarios?

BI-IP template with char without MD

Hi, gurus!

First of all, I'm sorry - I can't find BI-IP topics group, so I have to post this discussion here.

 

I created characteristic without master data, and made input ready query with this char. in columns.

When I start this query in Excel interface, I am able to input in my new characteristic field any data.

But when I start the same query in WEB-template, system checks entered data and posts error.

Unfortunately I can't find this error in English.

So, as you could see, I was able to enter first row in Excel (800351), but why in WEB the same operation was impossible?

0FISCPER Description not coming properly

Hi Experts,

 

In our project we are using V3 variant where January 2014 month  is equals to  010.2013 period .

 

Month              Period

 

feb 2014          011.2013

 

Mar 2014         012.2013

 

Apr 2014          001.2014

..                        ....

 

While running Query , when I putting  Fiscal Period   = 010.2013  its description showing  Jan 2013 instead of Jan 2014 .

 

when I checked 0FISCPER  infobjects  Text  table (T009C) where I can see they have maintained for period 010 - description is  Jan

 

I am unable to understand how year comes in description .

 

Kindly suggest .

global FKF can not be restricted again in the query

hello experts,

 

i have made a restricted kf according to 0calmonth: the kf is restricted only for records where 0calmonth is greater then 01.2014.

when i insert this RKF into a query and this RKF is restricted in the query to year 2013, i expect to see no results for this RKF, but it gives me results for year 2013 like it was a regular KF.

if i do the restriction for the hole query, it works good but when the restriction is inside the RKF it doesnt work. any idea ?

Saving Workbook

Hi,

 

Requirement is currently whenever users are saving the workbook the Cal month is getting locked

 

Now they need workbooks to be saved so that Cal month to be updated automatically rather than changing it manually

 

So in Jan - suppose they want to save the workbook for Jan 2014, when Feb starts Cal month should be updated for Feb, they should not do it manually.

 

I hope it make some sense…..

Bex report Variable to get price from DSO1 filtered by DSO2

Hi experts,

I'm creating a query on a Multiprovider (compound by two DSO).

In the first DSO we have Sales invoice.

In the second DSO we have 2 ratios (prices) uploaded by a CSV (Keys: material number and 0calmonth)

 

The question is the following:

When I create the DSO, i need to create a formula or variable to link the prices by material and date with the invoices.

 

Any ideas on how could i achieve this?

BEX Query Issue

Hello, I have a query about BEX front-end.

 

I am bringing in 0MAT_ST_LOC and 0PLANT in to my query.

 

I have a requirement that if 0MAT_ST_LOC is for example : 190 then do not show certain plants like 258 and 876.

 

Plant is a compounding object for 0MAT_ST_LOC.  I just need to find out somehow how to block like this: 190/258 AND 190/876.  but where can I do this in Query designer?

 

Can some one tell me how to not show those plants please?

BEx Query Refresh, Update Date

Hi,

 

I have several queries set up that I need to refresh on a daily basis in an automated way. Unfortunately, when they are refreshed, the key date remains the day that I created the queries.

 

Is there a way to make them refresh with the current date, or to be able to change the date in VBA?

OLAP Variable on Valid From field

Hi Guys please suggest,

I have a scenario where i have Valid From field in my DTP.

This field need to have filter value which is 'Last day of last month based on the Load_Date field'.

 

So i created a exit code as below: In include there were already existing variables so i just had to write the code as below in between:

 

   ELSEIF i_vnam = 'R0_C_089'.
        l_s_range-low = l_date.
        l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
        l_s_range-opt = 'LE'.

 

 

L_Date is load date which is populated with other code in include.

 

The I_STEPS defined for these variables are :

   IF    i_step = 2
       OR i_step = 0.

 

I then created a customer exit variable on Valid_from in query designer with Single value and Mandatory entry. and have unchecked the ready for input.

I ten included the Valid from in filters and restricted with this variable in query.

 

Then i assigned this variable to valid from in DTP.

When i execute the DTP i get error message Error for variable in customer enhancement...

 

not sure whats going wrong where.

 

I see similar variables being created on 0calday, fiscper with OPT=EQ and used in same code piece and they are working fine.

Not sure if i can use Valid from field or LE range for this scenario...

 

I cant use 0calday as already it is being used in same DTP and has variable assigned.

 

please suggest

Multiple BEx Queries/1 Workbook/1 Variable Screen

Hi,

 

I have inserted 2 different queries into 1 workbook.  The queries relate to different info providers.

 

This seems to work ok with the exception that:

 

* When I click on the Variable screen, I get 1 entry for both data providers (shows DP1 and DP2)

 

* Both queries refresh at the same time

 

Is there a way that I can refresh the queries at different times and have only the variables for the worksheet that I am on to be displayed?

Hi Experts,

BO-crystal reports are using our bex reports so one of my colleague asking this requirement as per user formatting.

and i suugested creating the 2 reports and he saying not suitable his requirement if any ideas on this please pass your inputs.

HI Experts,

 

I have a report in which i need to display respective amounts column-wise. The point is I could not accomodate all the columns in a single page so I want the split up the columns into multiple lines so if any one done this before please pass your inputs.

BEX report doesn't display the header (position 0) of invoice document

Hi, we created a bex report, but it doesn't show the invoice header line

 

The steps we followed were:

1. create a infoSet with a left extern join.

2. create a bex query on the infoset. The infoset has on its left side: invoice header, invoice position, material, 0calmonth;

and on the right side: material, 0calmonth, prices. (Picture 1)

3. View results

 

Problem:

The report doesn't show the invoice header line. (Picture 2)

 

I cannot find an option in the Bex report to make the header invoice (position 0) visible.

 

Any ideas?

Calculate the results row in BEx query

Hi Guys,

 

I have the below data in bex query 3.5 The yellow line is the calculated result. Instead of using the calculated result (which is average 63%) I want to use the KFs (act in sch / sched = 1615000/2460000 = 65%) How do it do it for the result row??

Single Cell Zero-Suppression

Hello Everyone-

 

I am hoping to do a zero suppression based on just ONE cell/column.

 

Rather than needing zeroes in every single cell in the row to trigger the zero suppression, I am hoping to trigger zero suppression simply based on one cell in the row.  Is this a possibility within the bounds of Query Designer?

BEX Query issue

Hello, I want to ask a question about front-end. When bex query is executed data will come from the infoproviders and display as rows. Is there a way that I can capture column's value row by row in a variable?  For example:

I have this report:

 

CostCenter Account  Creation Date      Keyfigure
101            120            01/01/2014          $100
102            121            03/03/2014          $200

 

I want to capture the creation date value in some variable for each row and then apply some business logic in CMOD.  but i don't know how to do that. Can some one tell me how to do that?
