I have to send data from BW Query to a file.
Can OH's are used to extract from BEx Query source?
I guess OH's cannot pull from BEx Queries since while creating OH's I dont see BW Query as source.
In that case I am only left over APD , but does APD gives the output in the CSV file formats?
I have daily load the deltas and generate a CSV file at the app server.

I want your expert opinion in creating APD's. We are at BW7.3 SP8;
My requirement is :
1) I have queries which has ready for input variables built and also few KPI's which has formulas require for variable selection to input.
2) I just need one to one mapping and the final output has to send it a table rather than Files in the APP server.
Can I achieve this by using APD's. i know from BW 7.3 SP8 I can make Query as datasource and using OH's I can output the data into tables.
But since I have input ready variables OH's are ruled out for this requirement.

Hello to anyone that can help out there,
I'm having a problem with trying give my new Key figure the ability to run off of Periodic Currency Rate in BEX. The source of this data if pulling from a different source to where the rates are pulled from (which is SAP) but this shouldn't make a difference as the rates are already set from SAP.
To my knowledge Periodic Rate is designed in BW/BEX. Which is why I'm struggling to understand why I can't set it against my KF.
Any ideas?

I have used standard formula (%A) to calculate my percentage value in my report.
Percentage Calculation = (Last Year / Current Year) * 100
In the below image Dealer wise percentage value is coming fine , but for overall result the percentage value is coming incorrect..Please find the image for reference.
Kindly give me some solution for this...

In the report i have all the above charecteristics and keyfigures.
I have few calculations as well, i have reporting period,comparision period and variance
In reporting period i have restricted 1) keyfigure with fiscal year period, 2) in comparision period i have restricted keyfigure and fiscal year period
3) Variance = reporting period - comparision period
Now when i execute query with following selections reporting period 001.2015 and comparision period 002.2015, it is giving output like below.
It is giving blank column additionally, please send me your suggestions.

I have scheduled the process chain twice in a day by taking copy of the job "BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER" from SM37 and created the new Job. In SM37, i have scheduled the new job with different time.
Now user ask me to schedule it once in a day and they ask me to remove the second one,Am unable to find the specific process chain where all are running under the name of "BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER"
How to remove it...Kindly suggest me a solution...

Most Of you have encountered this issue..
I have an Report where i am showing Values as
Stock in Transit =Deliv. Qty- Rec. Qty since this is Corresponding to Delivery number
But in Infoprovider the Delivery Number for Rec. Qty is Displayed as 1234
and Delivery Number for Delivered. Qty is Displayed as 001234
So There are Distinct Rows in Report and O/P is
| Delivery No. | SIT= Dq-Rq | Del. Qty | Rec. Qty |
| 1234 | 4 | 4 | |
| 001234 | -2 | 2 | |
| Total | 2 | 4 | 2 |
now as i need O/P like this i need to add /remove Zero from Delivery Number
| Delivery No. | SIT= Dq-Rq | Del. Qty | Rec. Qty |
| 1234 | 2 | 4 | 2 |
| Total | 2 | 4 | 2 |
Any Idea to achieve it
I cant Use Alpha Conversion exit as ..how to achieve it in Run time(Query level itself)

Hi Folks,
We are currently running SAP NW7.0 Enhancement Pack 1.
In BEx Analyzer, I have a query view saved from a query. I want to perform information broadcasting using this query view via BEx Analyzer, but the "BEx Broadcaster" option is unavailable, i.e., greyed out.
How do I resolve this?
I have found a workaround which is to open the main query from Query Designer, and then clicking Publish to get the web interface of information broadcasting to open up, and then selecting Query View and clicking Open to open my query view.
But I would still like to know how to open the BEx Broadcaster directly from BEx Analyzer.
Please advise, and thanks in advance!
HI All,
We are having an issue with the variables for fiscal period. The description of the fiscal periods fields are displayed incorrect, it shows 2 months more that what is selected.
Ex: if user selects '001/2016' then description shows as "MAR 2016' as shown in the attached image. However the data output is correct...the issue is only with description.
It is happening to all the reports wherever we are using the fiscal period variables...
Please let me know how can we fix it...

In Bex designer, i want to group Customer in to Groups.
Ex:

Condition:

How can i achieve this in Bex Designer???

I have Date (0PSTNG_DATE) fields in my bex reporting, if user enter the value like 10 then we need to display the < (current date - 10) records,
i.e
if user enter the value = 10, then desire output
like Date doc_number Sales quantity
14/06/2016 11111 76
14/06/2016 11112 20
13/06/2016 11234 90
12/06/2016 76123 34
11/06/2016 ................................
Currently I apply the Off set variable for date field but business wants enter the value in dynamically .
Please suggest to me for resolving the issue

I am facing a serious problem with the BEx Analyzer. Coming from SAP GUI release 7.4, PL 8 with BI Addon on FEP 4.01 I updated the BI Addon to FEP 5.01. After the installation succeeded, the Analyzer is no longer working. The toolbar is functionless and the background color of the question mark icon, which typically yellow is, shines in blue light. I've also addressed this problem to SAP AGS with high priority several days ago, but didn't get any hints yet. SAP's incident processing is often awful slow concerning BEx topics.
Therefore I asking myself, whether anyone of you is also facing this kind of problem or has helpful hints for solving this issue.

i have a Sale Report in Bex, it looks like this:

Sale: 50 50 60 50
now i want to create a dynamic running total for previous years until last year. it looks like this:
running total until last year 2016
160 50
and suppose when we have sale of the year 2017 (100), the running total will automatic add the sale of 2016 to it:
| running total until last year | 2017 |
210 100
i have tried with bex but infact it doesn't work for me till now

We are on SAP BW 7.4 HEC (HANA in CLOUD) and when clicking on "refresh", it is not bringing variable screen. Is the only option to change variables is click on "Change Variables"? Can we not force variable screen to pop-up when click on "Refresh" also?

I used the Constant Selection Option in a report and working fine. Suddenly, stopped work! and the report doesn't display the correct information.
But few days ago, our basis made an upgrade to BW with SP 18.
Do you know if SP18 did something with the selection constant option?
This is our BW status information. We uses BW 7.0

showing in excel.
