How to assign colors to the columns of chart in WAD

Hi Experts,

 

My WEB template contains a web element CHART.

The data in this column chart are expanded by one characteristic.

The requierement is to apply to each coulmn own color in the template.

For example, I have to use a blue color for the first column,

a red one for the second one, yellow and green for the third and fourth columns.

I didn't find any possibility to assign colors in Web Application Designer

and didn't find this possibility in the template settings.

How can I get automatically into Roles in the open dialogue?

Hi there,

 

when I select open within the BEx Analyzer, I get into the tab "History" first.

 

Does anyone know if it is possible to change settings so that you'll get into the tab "Roles" first automatically?

How to Delete the Restricted Key Figures

Hello,

 

We are using 2004s. I have created global RKF's. We not using any more, but i am trying to delete those, i am getting error message, that those are using somewhere else. I checked with where used list, they are not using anywhere, i know it, because i only created those. Is there any table to find those entries to delete.

Error while displaying BEx map

Hello All,

 

I am trying to load a MAP for a reports requirement.

 

 

While executing I am getting the analysis chart but i m not able to view the MAP.

 

I am getting the error saying Error while displaying map

 

Kindly help ASAP

Query definition coulld not be read

Hi,

 

I am facing an issue while executing BEx query after BI 7.3 upgrade. Only two queries are showing the below error, rest of the queries works fine. I have checked the table RSRREPDIR, status is inactive. Can anyone say to overcome this issue ? or any programs to activate it manually ?

OR Condition for Chars in Bex query

Hello,

 

I am working on one Bex and below is the condition -

 

If [( Char1= 'C1','C2') or (Char2='R1')] then print KF1

 

I can put above two condition in the Char restriction in Bex but then both Condition will come as AND.

 

Please advise.

How to design in query for this requirement

Dear All,

 

We have got a requirement from customer to design the report which looks like :

Good1, Good2 and Good3 have 3 different Infoobjects in BW.

The Good1 comes from a Infoprovider, Good2 from an Infoobject and Good3 from another Infoprovider. We can not user STRUCTURE in query because we have more rows. We can not also user characteristics in the ROW because we must restrict for good1, good2 and good3.

 

They have no hierarchy relationship because master data for Good1 come from 5 source system.

We want to build a new infoprovider to get all data from the data for Good1, Good2, Good3. But User want to drill down only in the row Good1 to another Report.

 

 

Could you give me some hints how to do it?

I'm looking for information about BEx on HANA. I searched on discussions and on documents, I didn't find that Bex can access directly to HANA.

Shall I consider that BEx can't?

List of all customer exits used by BEx reports

Hi experts,

 

I would like to get a list with all all CUSTOMIZED customer exits created by developers and used by all BEX reports of one SAP BW system.

It is about the customized Customer exit -I found out how to look for the SAP standard customer exit (CMOD, Utilities, F8), but we need the customized ones-

 

Do you know if there is any table of program that provides this information?

 

Unfortunatelly, we have too many (+1200) to check one by one

is there any program, table or any other way to get this info?

Issue in decimal with particular currency in bex output

Hi,

 

I am running a report on Multiprovider.

Now for a particular currency "HUF" the value on cost of sales in Multiprovider is being displayed as 28882.48 but in Query output it is displayed as 2888248.0 due to which I am getting overall mismatch of data.

 

Please help me to resolve this.

YTD, MTD calculations in BEx

I'm a beginner with no knowledge in ABAP coding. I've only started learning to use BEx, and I'm almost completely aware of how to use the software. Now, I was wondering whether there is a way to calculate Key Figures for Year-To-Date (YTD), Month-To-Date (MTD) and Quarter-To-Date(QTD) in BEx WITHOUT having to use any type of coding. Is there a way to do this using only Variables and other features of BEx alone? Please let me know.

BEx Query Designer -> Execute pops up blank Internet Explorer session

Hi gurus,

 

From BEx Query Designer, I choose Execute, and it pops up a blank Internet Explorer window rather than the query.  It says about:blank in the URL and the page is white.

 

I read some posts that say to run RSPOR_SETUP, but I don't have a Java system or Portal system so does that still apply to me?  I want the URL that pops up to point to the BW system which is an ABAP system.

Characteristic default sort

Is there any place on the InfoObject to specify if a characteristic will defaultly sort by key or text?  The only place that I know of is within the query designer.  If I leave that as the default then I believe the sort is being based on the display setting in the InfoObject...but I can't find anything from SAP to confirm that.

How to change colors of exeptions in WAD

Hi Experts,

 

SAP NetWeaver 7.3. I need to change colors of exceptions from default (red, green, yellow) to my colors(for example blue, black, pink).

 

I changed stylesheets in MIME repository(SE80) + clear cache, but it didn't help, even in RSRT I didn't see any changes.

 

Where I can change colors of exceptions?

How to Configure BEx in portal

Hello SAP,

 

We have completed the installation of SAP NW BW7.31 ABAP stack and JAVA stack with different SIDs.

Our BW developers execute the BEx Query in Query designer  the following error occurred.

Now we want to configure Business Explorer in Portal.

Can any one please help me how to configure BEx in portal.

BEx Analyzer 7.x and MS Office 2013?

Hi,

 

recently got a question from a customer, if BEx Analyzer / Excel reporting should work together with MS Office 2013?

 

In quickly set up test environment (MS Office 2013 - 32bit version) it does not work actually.

An Excel process is started in the back ground (task manager) but not Excel window is come up.

 

I can also not find any information in the world wide web about BEx together with Office 2013. The highest office version comments are available for is 2010.

 

Question:


  • Does anyone have some experience with MS Office 2013 already?
  • Is Office 2013 officially supported from SAP side?

bex query - PO amount challenge

Dear Gurus,

 

PO are created daily and we need to find the value of the PO's and their count. The value of the PO is in the amount field, which is present in our DSO. The requirement is every month we need to find the number of PO's whoes value greater than 10 Lakh,

no of PO's between 5 to 10 lakh and no of po's less than 5 lakh.

I have included Fiscal year period, PO number and 3 calculated KF's. Its working fine.

 

 

Ex:

Display original currency in BEx not working after upgrade to 7.3

Hi Experts,

 

Currency conversion is defined in the query and it works perfectly. After the query is executed in the BEx Analyser using query properties tick "Display Original Currency" and unchecked "First Apply Currency Translation from Query Definition", does not return the result to original currency.

 

The same functionality works in BEx Web without any issues.

Bex Error

Hi Gurus

 

My customer has been getting this error while hes trying to open up the query. The changes were recently moved from Development To quality system. And the query works fine in the development system but throws up the error in the snapshot in the quality system

 

The strange fact is am not getting the error while i open up the query at my end. What could be the possible reason.I did go through the other links showing the same error but then here only my client is facing this error.. At my end , am able to open the query without the error showing up. Please help ASAPimage007.png

 

 

What could be the issue at his end ? Or rather let me know the way to resolve this issue.
