Formula variable with customer exit to read master data attribute value

Hello experts,

 

I have a scenario where in a query I wish to populate value as 0% , 100% & -100% based on values of display attribute of a characteristics. For example: if characteristic 'A' has display attribute 'Quality' as null then 0, if "Good" then 100 and if anything else then -100. Formula variable replacement path is not helping me with this.

Can I achieve this with help of formula variable customer exit? If yes can someone help me with the structure of the code?    Or is there another way to achieve this in query designer.

Customer exit to populate string against KF in BEx query

Hi Experts,

 

I have a reporting requirement where based upon the value of a KF I wish to display a string in the corresponding column. For example if value is between 0 to 50, display string "AVG", if greater than 50 and less than 90, display "Good" and if greater than 90, display "Excellent".

Wherein BO WEBI reports it is easily achievable, is there any way to achieve this in Bex maybe through customer exit? Only other option I am aware is using conditional formatting.

How to calculate with Ranks?

Hi!  (I am aware that a similar question was raised in 2007 and no solution given but hoping maybe in 2016 someone has a solution to this ).

 

I have a query with some raw key figures and also two formulas giving Ranks.  They work perfectly. They are based on completely different raw key figures so I cannot create one ordinary 'sum rank' based on a combination of the two key figures.

 

So, I really need to create a third column which should be the sum of the two other Ranks..  I would like to sort my query based on that new column (sum of the two other ranks).

 

Any ideas?

Problem with aggregation

HI everyone,

 

I have a problem with aggregation in Query designer, i have the following situation.the problem is that in mi table the rate it duplicate for the number of companies, so that way for the client A i have Rate - 30 and for B 45. In my analysis i dont use client neither Company so i want

 

 

Day       Client           Company     Rate

  1        A                      Z             10

  1       A                      X             10

  1       A                      Y             10

  1       B                      Z             15

  1       B                      M             15

  1       B                      P             15


the problem is that in mi table the rate is duplicated for the number of companies, so that way for the client A i have Rate - 30 and for B 45. In my analysis i dont use client neither Company so i want the next result:

or

Rounding of the key figure values in Bex 7.x Query

Hi Guys,

 

Recently we got one requirement to round of the output of one Financial Query. For e.g if the current result is : 2221770 TEUR, it should display as 2,222,000 in output.

 

 

Please Help!!!

RSRD_BROADCAST_BATCH sometimes not sending emails (BEx Broadcaster)

Hi guyz,

 

I'm using the program RSRD_BROADCAST_BATCH in the last part of my process chain..However, there are times that we don't receive any email..The program did not create the job in step 3 (see pix of "successful")..

 

 

FAILED TO SEND EMAILS

How can I fix this? My client is already asking the cause of the problem..Is this related to BEx Broadcaster since the VARIANT I am using in the program is from BEx Broadcaster..Any help?

 

 

NOTE:

The process chain finished successfully in both scenarios.

How to get PREVIOUS transaction date?

Hi guys,

 

Just wanted to ask how to get the PREVIOUS or last two (2) transaction dates based on the parameter entered using query designer?

 

This is my raw data:

 

Transaction DateCustomerMaterialAmount

20160316AX60

 

 

I wanted to have this query:

 

My parameter is transaction date..So if user entered 20160201 - 20160228, this will be my result..

So if user again entered 20160101 - 20160131, this will be my result..

Another example, if user entered 20160306 - 20160315, this will be my result..Assuming I did not suppress ZERO result..

How can I achieve this in query designer? I'm planning to do this in transformation level but just giving a try if this can be achieved in BEx level..

 

LAST TRANSACTION DATE can be obtained by using the MAX function in formula..How about the PREVIOUS TRANSACTION DATE?

Filtering of ZCALWEEK to display "only values available in Info provider" is not working in query designer, when report is on a MP which has other Info cubes in it. Please suggest

We have a situation, where are we are deleting 3  calweek selections of data in a month by maintaining only one calweek, now business want see only that available calweek to appear in selection screen while executing the report, but that report is on a multi provider which has total 4 cubes along with cube which we are deleting the data. Now as we are deleting data in only one cube, and the rest cubes are having data (calweek available) so when we filter ZCALWEEK in advanced as to display only values available in info provider it is not working. Also we have tried the below option 1. In multi provider level, we have made change to ZCALWEEK as "D only values in Info provider" at Info provider specific properties. Can any body please suggest how to proceed here..?

Version Mismatch in Query Designer

I've Build a query in query Designer using Citrix Server. Later I modified the same query in Query Designer in my Desktop.

Now I can not modify the query in Citrix Server, since the version of QD in Citrix and in DT are different.

 

Is there a way to get my query back?? I want it modifiable in Citrix.

No data found. Dummy record generated for key figure definition

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement of a query where I require count against a navigational attribute value with exclusion for a particulate navigational attribute value. To elaborate with example. Below are the values of IO and its navigational attribute and against each attribute I want the count to be shown except when the value is 'MNO' in the bex query.

 

For this I first created a Formula variable with replacement path against the navigational attribute with 'Interpret result as boolean Value' option and used it to create Count KF. Now for perform exclusion of particular value of navi. attri. I created restricted KF added the count KF and applying restriction on navi. attri. value 'MNO'. I am expecting below result but I am still getting 1 against MNO in the output. When I right click on the value and check the 'Key Figure Definition' it show correct value as '0' highlighted in red and with below message:

Diagnosis

The system found no data for the selections. A dummy output record has been created for display so that the key figure definition can still be used.

Can someone suggest me how can I get the correct value? Why this dummy output record is getting created?

Count Charcteristic value with specific condition

Hi Experts,

 

I want your help in understanding how can i get the addition of Total No. of Shopping Carts created per Requester.:

To more narrow down the solution i want,  for Requester "SAM" How many SC Approval Level = 1 & then just add them up,


I am unable to achieve these steps in BEx please guide me step by step.

 

My Aim is to achieve the RED column.

Problems while opening the query in Analysis

Good morning Gurus.

 

I have a problem while opening a query in MS Analysis. It is as follow:

 

Termination message sent

ERROR BRAIN (252): Query definition 006EJIGNIQ3QKXLCM4059LQ2L could not be read.

  MSGV1: 006EJIGNIQ3QKXLCM4059LQ2L

 

ABEND BRAIN (635): Query APV_M02_PLN223_QR001 could not be opened.

  MSGV1: APV_M02_PLN223_QR001

 

 

I recon the problem is in the object 006EJIGNIQ3QKXLCM4059LQ2L. I collect he necessary objects for transport in rsa1, but the object wasn't in the list.

I've found it in se03 and it was successfully transported to the test system before.

 

Can anyone help in resolving the issue?

SAP BW/BI Single sign-on requires initials twice after report access

Hi experts,

 

I have a strange issue, when I access WAD report from EP URL, I need to enter the first variable twice...

the process is this:

 

 

*         Enter initials

 

 

*         Click OK

 

 

*         <initials are wiped>

 

 

*         Enter initials again

 

 

*         Click OK

 

 

*         Report is shown

 

regarding this strange issue, anyone met this situation before,

could you give me some help about this? thank you!

When using BEx report.

 

And clicking on 'Use Formulas' - I cannot use the "Display Scaling Factors".

is this possible to combine use formulas and scaling factors?

Prerequisites wrt BW Security and Authorizations prior to migrating to SAP BW on HANA

Hi all,

 

We are implementing BW Security for one of our clients who is currently on SAP BW 7.30 on Oracle Database. In 3-6 months time they will be migrating to SAP BW on HANA with BW 7.40. Keeping this in mind do we have to take any pre-requisites while creating analysis authorizations and roles in SAP BW 7.30.

Please advise.

Not able delete comments in WAD report

Hi All,

We have a report output  of Bex WAD .In the report output,user enters comments on a data cell by right clicking--> create new comment and then save.After saving, the cell contains the comment Icon as as shown below.

 

After that,user released  that by mistake he gave the comments and wants to delete the comment.

 

So,he again right clicks the cell content-->Display Document> shows prompt(Document Browser Dialog)--> left click the comment --> Choose delete.

 

But,the comment is not deleting and not showing any messages or errors.The pop up window just flickers and doing nothing

 

Can you please let me know how to fix this.

 

We are using 7.X WAD

Exclude values from BEx analyzer

I have  task to filter value from qwery . I tryied to craete bex buttom and navigation pane/ Need to exlude "1". tryied  !1 or ]1[. it doesnt work

 

Also tryied to transfer in nav. pane "]1["  Useless system didnt take it . Is anyone know how to transfer manualy excluded values without

Email Bursting

Hi

 

I have a requirement to burst a report to all the Stores with the last weeks sales and company average sales.

 

 

 

Site: Article : Sales $: Copany Ave Sal $

-------------------------------------------------------------

S1     A1        $2          $5

S1     A2        $8          $10

S2     A1        $8          $5

S2     A2        $12         $10

 

 

In the above result Store S1 rows to Store S1 and S2 to S2.

 

But when I was using email bursting, The entire report is filtered out with site and not able to calculate company's average sales.

 

Looking for any solution on this.

Run-time error'91'

Dear All,

 

I am using laptop  with

OS: 8.1 64 bit,

MS office 2013  32 bit

SAP gui 740

BEX 7x

 

when i try to run the business explorer analyser, system is showing the error " runtime error'91'

object variable or with variable not set.

 

can some one help me how to resolve the issue.
