Hi Techies,
I am using a WBS Hierarchy in a report. Hierarchy Name is 'WBS Hierarchy' which is coming as the root node. My requirement is that I do not want to see the root node of the hierarchy. Is there any way to achieve this. Hiding the root node of hierarchy and show it in BEx Analyzer.

In one of our BEx Report, we have some key figures in the columns as below
1.Can you please tell me the expansion for the key figures %CY,%BD,%PY,%CBD,%CPY?
2.Under every column,why they have mentioned with 'KR'?

I need to allow a user to choose granularity of a report: week, month, quarter or year. I created a variable with values "week", "month", "quarter" and "year". Depending on what the user chose, I need to show the data grouped by corresponding interval. As I understand, I need somehow dynamically to change the infoobject in the column (0calweek ... 0calyear). Could it be done in BEx?

Hi everyone,
I would like to create a variable with fixed number of values such as "week", "month" and "year". Based on the chosen value, I want to make a decision in the customer exit. I don't want to create infoobject for this variable, I just need to ask user for a fixed value.
Another quesrion is what the reference characteristic should be, cause I don't have such infoobject in my infoprovider.

We have a scenario to display the Document no , item ,exchange rate and quantities etc.
The Exchange rate when displaying at company code/Material level , it is getting aggregated.
As per the User's requirement , it shouldn't get aggregated.
We tried with Exception Aggregation property, by aggregating the Exchange rate on some reference
Characteristic. It is working correctly with that object...But as this
Exchange rate is depending on many objects we are not getting the correct result.
Is there any one come across this type of scenario.Please help us in solving this.

We need to calculate one average field based on cal month/ year input.
1. If we run the report one year, we need to fetch last six month quantity and result= (sum of last six month/6)
2. If we run the report less than six month, we need to fetch all the month quantity and result= (sum of all the month/No.of month)

I am creating a report in which i am using 2 key-figures ( attribute of master data ). using it through formula variable replacement path. Now i want to create an exception in which i am giving
if Stock Bad 1 ( Red Color ) between ( formula variable 1 and formula variable 2 )
But when i am executing query it is not giving me color. When i am replacing formula variable with a constant value color is shown to report.
In Report formula variable value is showing.

I am Creating a report in BEx . In which i want 0Material attribute ( key figure ). I am using it by creating a formula variable. That key figure is in KG , G etc. I want unit conversion on it. Unit conversion is available on Selections or Cube key figure. It is disable for Formula variable. Please tell how to convert unit for attribute.
Translation type / ODS for conversion is done.
Have seen SDN post on this but could not found any satisfactory solution.

From the above layout,
I want to display where Document type = DP and need to display the records where Invoice reference is Not equal to Empty.
So in output it should display 4 Records (2 DP records and 2 Invoice reference records).

Hi all, I hope I'm on the right place. I do have some problems with some users which can't load the content from the Bex Webanalyzer.
We do have 4 workstation where we really cover that the user isn't able to get the content loaded. We are for the moment running both W xp and W7. The IE Explorer are 8 and 9. At least our idea was that the Java Version is maybe the problem, but we installed different versions as 6.26 and it did not help.
When the user starts the portal, the only thing happens is that the SAP symbol appears which is the blue "flower" and the background.
The footer bar in the IE just blinking with the javavoid 0.
I hope that anybody maybe able to help me with some hints how I can research the fault, so I get more secure what the reason might be.

From BEx Query Designer, I choose Execute, and it pops up a blank Internet Explorer window rather than the query. It says about:blank in the URL and the page is white.
I read some posts that say to run RSPOR_SETUP, but I don't have a Java system or Portal system so does that still apply to me? I want the URL that pops up to point to the BW system which is an ABAP system.

Below is what I have tried and my Observations....
1)This issue is only when I try to connect via Start->Business Explorer. If I connect thru RRMX it works fine.
2)Telnet to '198.xx.xx.xx 3340' works fine. I get a blank screen.
3) Pinging to '198.xx.xx.xx gives, "Request Timed Out". But then I'm able to login thru SAPGUI to BW Server.
4) Services and Hosts File have all Entries as required.
I have referred SAP Note - 447882.
Kindly let me know the reason/solution for the above issue. I have checked multiple forums but couldnot find a solution.

I have this format of report..How can I make this kind of report in BEx Analyzer?
I tried making a hierarchy in RSH1 however I can only make a hierarchy for each infoobject.
I also tried making a structure in query designer and make a selection, however the values above are variable. Hence, the data will extend, such as for AGE infoobject, I can have 30, 31, 32, etc. values. Same with the PROMO infoobject, I can have Pants, Ballpen, Baller, etc. Therefore, this is not possible since I need to update the structure whenever there is a new data.
My temporary solution for this one is to make a query for each infoobject (thus I have a total of 3 queries in a workbook). However, since the data are variable, the rows will extend everytime there is a new data, therefore the data of AGE will OVERLAP with the data of PROMO. So, this is not also possible.
Do you guyz have any idea?

I am facing an issue while executing BEx query after BI 7.3 upgrade. Only two queries are showing the below error, rest of the queries works fine. I have checked the table RSRREPDIR, status is inactive. Can anyone say to overcome this issue ? or any programs to activate it manually ?

I have created filter in query for some field and excluded some values at the query level.
So when I runs the report, I get the report data with the values excluded already.
But if I click on filter it will show option to exclude and include.Please find attached screenshots.
The records for these values are already excluded.But If I select include option
it will not include records with these values as these are excluded at the query level.
So is there any any solution that this include option will work when user selects include.
Please help me to find solution for this question. Thanks in advance.
