We have kept maintained a restrict ion in RSADMIN table as below.
BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_DEF 300000
BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX 300000
BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_XLS 300000
But during download Excel the cell count is more than this.Could any one please answer why this difference.

Hello All,
I have a BEx report which was built on Infocube. This report is in use for long time and we never get any issue. Today we got the issue that BEx report result doubled order quantity (100). I have checked it in Cube, cube have correct value (50). This report is on 3.x version. data load is every day delete and Full load.Please help me in finding the root cause for this.

I am creating one report in Bex that would display data of previous 12 months. But my problem is that values in fiscal year/month (0FISCPER) in F4 help is showing incorrect data thats why my report also showing incorrect calculations ;
values in 0FISCPER :
here, when i enter 011.2014 , it should display data between 011.2013 - 011.2014. But it displays as 011.2014 (correct), 010.2014 (correct), 009.2014(incorrect), 008.2014(incorrect).... it should change 2014 year. my logic is fine, but due to this list, it is displaying accordingly.
For Jan 2014 comes under fiscal year of 2013 as 010.2013.
I am taking fiscal variant as V3.
Any idea, how this list is populating, as this is standard time characteristics.

I am working on BI 7.3 and I had installed SAP GUI 7.30 Patch 14.
I have executed BEx query in BEx analyzer and was able to see my data available in Infoprovider. Now, we did a data load in infoprovider again keeping BEx analyzer open and when I clicked on Refresh button available in BEx analyzer Custom toolbars, It didn't refresh data but I close the query and execute again then I was able to see new data in BEx query. I tried it couple of times and found out that BEx analyzer Refresh button doesn't refresh infoprovider data if it is already open. It's weird !!!
Did anyone face this issue before ? Can anyone provide your input why this happens ? I also tried same exercise in other system where I had BI 7.4 and SAP GUI 7.40 but still facing same issue.

For instance, when running a simple BEx query on our PCA cube (fed via 0EC_PCA_1):
- when displaying June balance for account 6xyzabc, we get EUR 10.00, which is correct compared to what is in R3.
- when displaying June balance for account 7xyzabc, we get EUR 30.00, which is correct compared to what is in R3.
Displaying the same period/account/KF, but using a currency translation type that automatically converts any currency to USD, using a exchange rate type 'P' (our yearly exchange rates for budget) defined at 01.01.2015 and using time ref taken from 0FISCYEAR:
- when displaying June balance for account 6xyzabc, we get USD -10.88
- when displaying June balance for account 7xyzabc, we get USD -32.65
So, in short, debit bookings become credit, and credit bookings become debit.
TCURR holds correct rates (no '-' sign).

i am broadcasting Excelworkbooks using Precalculation server.System envirement has on Applikation server for all Dialog-user and a database server for dialog and Batch processes.
I mave maintained the brodcast settings and activated the jobs. most of the jobs are running fine. The Broadcast job is name beginning with SE. This job has only one step ececuting program RSRD_BROADCAST_STARTER. this step is starting Program RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS in a job names BIBCAST*. the precalculation itself is then startet in Dialog on databaseserver.
Is there any settting to start this dialog not on database server, but on applcation server?
Background is, that some workbook are calculated in dialog on the Application server without any issue, but the same process started in Prec dumps on database server with TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED,
Therefore i would like to change this process.

Actually I am Getting the Error In BEx Analyzer Like "No Applicable Data Found".
I have some "3264" Records are There and Activated Well... Everything is Showing Green;Successful Display in Requests Part. Hence It also shows "Requests is Available For Reporting".

I have a requirement to load only few GLs e.g. 20 GLs while loading through 0FI_GL_10 datasource into BW sytem.
Planning to use OLAP variable.
Can anyone advice how can I create in query designer and include GLs so that those GLs only will be loaded.

I have one requirement in Query level. I need to add months to date should get the results as a date.
there is a one field deferred period which has months data.
there is a one more filed loss date which has dates information.
In query level i need to add deferred period to lossdate and result should be in date format.

In WAD 3.X it was posible through table interface.

Hello,
I need to close the current BEx instance and workbook without saving it. I am using VBA code that is widely suggested to achieve this . It works perfectly on a pure Excel instance but with a BEx instance, it will prompt to save the current workbook before exiting.
Here is the stripped-down code I am using:
Sub ExitWithoutSaving
cells(1,1) = cells(1,1) + 1 ' Modify content of current workbook to simulate activity on the workbook
ActiveWorkbook.Saved = true ' Force Excel to believe that the workbook has already been saved
Application.Quit
End Sub
I am using BEx (BI Add-On 7.X ( based on 7.30)) on Excel 2010 on Windows 7.
The code can be added as is to a New blank Excel file (Excel with no BEx) or to a new blank BEx workbook with no queries inside, no need to even login. A simple insert Module is all you need to verify the code.
Would someone try it on a similar environment to help me know if something is wrong with my set-up or if it is the code that is the problem ? When we know I am not the problem, may-be someone will be able to help...

I want to calculate the standard deviation of my material consumption for a specific period.
First I have tried to create a new calculated key figure based on the "total quantity consumed" with the exception aggregation "standard deviation" and the reference characteristic "material", but this returns only a 0.000 for every material.
Afterwards I tried to combine two calculated key figures:
1. standard deviation (period)
base: total quantity consumed
exception aggregation: standard deviation
ref. characteristic: material
2. Standard deviaton of (material)
base: standard deviation (period)
exception aggregation: standard deviation
ref. characteristic: calendar year/month
The result is that the second key figure(material) returns 0.000 for every material. The first key figure returns different values that looks quite nice, but in case of a "total quantity consumed" of 1, a 0,70711 is returned. This is clearly not correct. It must be a 0 value.
Does anyone of you has any further ideas how to solve my problem?

I'm having issue with quantity unit conversion at the query level. It's not converting at all on BEx Level. I'd been searching for solutions for couple days and still couldn't figure out.. Please help
I followed the exact steps on Reporting Data in Alternate Unit of Measure in BI 7.0
I've done global transfer structure, created conversion type in RSUOM tcode.
Here is what i have
0Material Configuration..set Base of Unit and install UoM DSO

As you can see in the DSO, 0UNIT = KAR but when I go 0UNIT info-object, CAR is listed but not KAR eventhough I've done global transfer structure. Do you know why? how can I bring KAR in?

UoM variable = KG
end result shows the base unit which is EA not KG

Hi Dear All,
I had created a info set based on 3 different cubes joining on Company code, then I had created a query, Now I am trying to execute the same from Analyzer but it is giving the error "ORA-01455".
Note: All the objects are active infoset query and all the cubes.

I had a requirement to use wildcard text like "MCK" on 0customer and and on anobject with reference to 0customer. I am on BEX 3.5. When I use selection option to get the wildcard in the prompt, it does not work because the customer IDS are numbers. Please let me know the steps to implement this on text of 0customer or its reference object. Thanks for your help.

I'm new to BW authorization we have BW 7.0 SAP_BW 700 0019 system and we are facing issue in aggregation authorization
the scenario is we have 2 customized reports Daily_sales and Customer_Aging
and we have authorization ZPLANT_plant Charact 0PLANT and EQ to the plant ID where the branch is located
We also have authorization ZPLANT_AGGR Charact 0PLANT and EQ :
The branch user required the 2 reports to be assigned to him
if we grant zplant_aggr to the branch user he can see other branches data (Unauthorized data) in the report Daily_sales report if he keep the query input for plant empty.
if we don't grant the user zplant_aggr to the user the Customer_Aging will not work (No authorization)
Please help us what should we do in this case?

I have a requirement in Query that is:
For a particular Sales Order No and Sales Order Item and InfoObject "Y" =1,
if InfOObject "X" = AB, add KF1,
else if InfoObject "Z" = AC, subtract KF1
Note: InfoObject Y, X & Z are characteristics not KeyFigures
How can this be achieved in Query Designer?

Hi Team,
I have an issue where when I provide an input in the selection screen input with exclude , it is not excluding that particular value rather it is excluding so many other fields along with that selections.
But if I execute the report and then exclude inside the report , then the report is working fine.
For ex : I have country field where I have to exclude Omun. I do have India ,Bangladesh , afghanisthan , Nepal etc also.
If I provide in selection screen as Exclude OMun , it excludes not only omun but also some other country like Nepal , india as well. This is just an example I am giving for you all to understand the functionality.
Field country is a direct input field with manual selection input.
Please do let me know what could be the reason.

I have a piece of JavaScript that I use to hide some error display that's not important right now. The problem is if I or someone else makes changes to the web app and saves the Web App Designer will replace the quotes with the HTML encoded quote and it breaks it. Is this something I can turn off?
