Seeking help with web application designer and different views of chart

Good afternoon

I have a web application designer report that displays a chart with a radio button that allows the chart to be changed to display any one of 12 indicators.  I have received a request to create a report allowing the end user to print all 12 charts with one button.  I have 12 charts displaying in the report and each is linked to it's own radio button, but I need each chart to display a different indicator.  For example, the first chart shows admissions and the second chart should show inpatient surgeries.  I can get the charts to change if I select a different radio buttion for each chart.  What I would like to do is have the button selected for each chart and hide all the radio buttons, so when the end user prints the charts, each chart prints with a different indicator.

 

Any help is appreciated.

VBA Save BEx workbook to pure Excel file after removing BEx references

Here is my need

 

After the variables screen has been filled and the control has returned to BEx/VBA module, I want to process data into a new sheet and save only the new sheet as xls (or xlsm) file.  Note: The file will also contain macros so I can't save it as .xlsx file.

 

The way I did that is by deleting all sheets that contain BEx queries and then save the remaining to a local xls file. Then I close the BEx window

 

The problem is when I re-open the xls file from Explorer using double-click:  BEx icons are still active and VB editor shows that BExAnalyzer.xla is allocated. How do I remove them before saving the file with VBA ?

Bex Query

I have two characterisitc fields 'Allocation Number' & 'Purchasing doument' in a cube.

 

Now i need to display purchasing document field if it is not blank else display the allocation number field in the rows part of the bex query.

 

How can i achieve this ? Please help me out in this regard.

       I need to collect WAD web templates in a TR.

 

       Please suggest me the best way to collect them.

 

       I was trying with transport connection option in RSA1. But it looks like not all the web items are getting collected.

example

01.01.2015 and 02.2015  - true

01.01.2015 and 03.2015 - false

01.01.2015 and 02.2016 -false

{BW 7.4] Standard document function not working after Upgrade to 7.4

Hi Experts,

 

we are facing some serious problems after the upgrade from BW 7.0 to BW 7.4.

All of them occur in the Web environment.

 

1.) Once entering a web template with bi document functionality, the following error message appears several times in the message area:

MissingResource for interface com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.queryview.IObjectProviderAccess, key: DocumentServiceError, locale: en

2.) When entering a Web Application the document icon is missing even on lines for which comments/documents definitely exist. When executing the query on which the application is based in BEx Analyzer a document icon is shown. But when clicking on the icon the system displays the message "No Documents found". I've attached some Screenshots to clarify the issue. Please see attachments "Document Icons via WebTemplate (not displayed)" and "150613 Document Icons via BEx Analyzer shown".


3.) The Web standard Document function does not work. When we try to create document via web there is no response from the system.

 

 

We are happy about any ideas as we are facing great delays in our project because of these issues.

500 Internal server error issue while displaying a BI report

Hello Experts,

 

We are using SAP_BW 701 and SP7.

 

We are facing the below error while executing the report and the issue is for only a particular user, The same BI report is displayed for other users.

 

Could you please help to resolve the issue.

Report Performance

Hi Folks,

This is related to performance issue for Report.

We have 2 report which are same but only differ in Years.

example: ABC 1415(14&15 are years) and ABC 1516.

ABC 1415 for same selection it is taking 5 mins to complete.

ABC 1516 for same selection it is taking 40 Mins to complete.

we went to RSRT-->Debug and execute-->kept stats and executed.

once completion we found that , it is Taking more time in Data manager.

What is this? and  how to resolve this?

Both are reports are built on Same MP(1 infoobject,3 DSO).

 

Please suggest me the solution.

Hi Team,

 

while executing the bex analyzer i am facing the issue like

 

Query0:Runtime error unable to fulfill request for 90383624 bytes of me with parallel processing via RFC.

Error while reading data:Navigation is not possible.

 

Please tell me reason why this type error coming and resolution for this error.

Hierarchy expand/collapse on 'Custom Extension' Web Item

Hello All,

 

 

I have a WAD issue, please help me to fix it.

 

 

There is a Web Item 'Custom Extension' which has an ABAP class to derive a hierarchy for an Infoobject based on DSO data. There is no hierarchy configured for that particular infoobject.





Now the display for that hierarchy is set upto level 3 but the customer wants the see only 2 levels displayed.

 

 

please let me know how can i get the hierarchy get collapsed.

 

 

P.S: When we click on the node, that value is passed to the affected dataproviders and data is restricted in it.

Bex Rounding : CUNI - Decimal pl. Rounding Impact

Hi Gurus,

I have a problem when I'm displaying the sales unit (0INV_QTY) in bex mode.

Although in DSO the unit is correctly stored (with 3 decimal position), the Bex visualization  rounds  this value to the unit (if 0,400 then 0; if 0,600 then 1).

I notice that modifying the customizing in the CUNI T-Code, as exposed below, the bex visualization result are correct.

The question is: i have to wait some impact in the datamodel caused from this change? Or this change customizes just the Bex visualization?

Key Date Functionality in Query Designer not working

Hi Gurus,

 

BI environment: SAP BI 7.4 HANA SP 7


Recently, we have upgraded from 7.01 to 7.4 SP 7. We have seen that Key Date functionality in BEx Query Designer is  not yielding the correct results. On our old platform, when a date variable is used in Key date and date was entered in Variable screen, then the attributes of MD used in report were showing the values of the date entered into the date variable.


After the upgrade, the attributes are picked up at current date and not at the date entered into the variable.

Please let us know if anyone has received this type of issue and how was this resolved?

In which BEx queries a structure is used

Dear colleagues,

 

I'd like to know in which BEx queries a structure is used.

 

I know that table RSZELTDIR gives you the ELTUID and MAPNAME for a structure (STR) or query (REP), but I don't remember the table that gives you where a structure is used (I mean in which query).

 

Can you please help?

 

NB: I tried table RSZELTXREF, but it doesn't give the structure info

Calculation of customer balance percentage from overall result

Hello Guys,

please help me out in customer due date analysis report for calculating the Customer Balance percentage from Total overall results in BEx Query Designer.

i have come through some of the threads for percentage calculation in SCN and got some hints.

Such as we can use the data function SUMGT for overall result. and %GT/CT For overall result percentage .

 

But getting confused how to use those functions for BALANCE Key figure.

shall i create calculated key figures ,and if yes then what is the exact formula for that.and how to use those.

Bex Query returns data in IE but none when run via BEx Analyzer!?!

Hallo out there….

Hope you can help me.

 

Situation:

We are running BW 7.4 SP7

Have just upgraded BeX Tool (BI AddOn7.X based on 7.30) from Support Pack 400 to 910.

 

Problem:

I have created a BW Query (via Query Designer) and when running the query in the Internet Explorer it returns data as expected. Query has no prompts.

When opening the same query in BEx Analyzer (=Excel) the result is “No applicable data found”!?!

Why does the Query return data when run in the Internet Explorer but none when run via Excel in BEx Analyzer (Office 2010)?
