BEx queries (3.X) saved in Query Designer 7 , still has the old 3.X layout in PFCG

Hi,

 

Problem Description: BEx queries (3.X) saved in Query Designer 7 , still has the old 3.X layout in PFCG.

    

We are in the middle of migrating BEX 3.X query to BEX 7,

In the current situation, we have an existing roles that has BEx queries (3.X) published to it,  using PFCG.

 

For example:

  

Role: YBW_MENU1

                  - Report_1

 

*All reports are 3.X reports

 

  

When we open Query Designer 7 and save the Report_1 (now it will be saved as BEX 7 report),

 

 

and publish it again (to the original location as the 3.X was ) we expect to see
the new report in PFCG , but we don't.

 

 

PFCG shows the old 3.X report!

 

Just when we deleted the old report and publish the new report ... only then we will
see the new report.

 

 

Problem is : we have hundreds of reports...so do it manually, it will take a lot of
time.

  

Is there any "Automatic" way to remove the old one and show the new one instead?

Client out of memory

Hi,

 

      When i add new field in Bex analyzer from "Free characteristic", it showing "Client out of memory". This report have 17000 records in excel.

InfoObject 0HIERNODE is not available in Version A

Hello

 

I am new to SAP Security and am stuck on a issue.

 

End user is trying to run a report via BEx. After filling in all the mandatory field , when the user tries to enter the value in last mandt field , an error occurs .

 

the error shows "500 Internal Server Error" and the Root Cause is mentioned as "InfoObject 0HIERNODE is not available in Version A" 9Please see the attachment for error details.)

 

Also I checked in production system and do not see any infoobject 0HIERNODE . However i do see 0HIER_NODE present . Also i tried to run the report in Regression system with the same filed values and was able to execute it successfully . So it seems the report is fine.

 

So is this issue related to SAP Security or will the BASIS team be of help here.

 

Any suggestions are appreciated.

To change initial password, log on with SAP GUI

We have a situation here, where our BW business users when using BEX Analyzer they are getting a pop-up for changing initial password. However, when they try to change the initial password its not allowing them to change it.

 

And the error says:

Password not allowed:

 

Password can be changed only once a day or initial password for this user cannot be changedInitial password for user SAP*, DDIC, SAPCPIC, EARLYWATCH and for super user cannot be changed.

 

To change initial password, log on with SAP GUI.

 

 

 

Please help resolve this error.

How to change the size of the web item text in WAD 7.0

Dear All

 

I am quite new to WAD and I am having a problem with changing the font size of a web text item

 

I have searched already and someone suggested changing the Design property to  HEADER1 or HEADER2 etc and then I should be able to change the font / size.

 

I have done this but to no avail

 

I want to have large heading across the top of the web template

 

am I using the wrong web item ?

 

I know I can key the text directly into the web template and change the font from the menu bar  but I need it in an item as I want to export them through to PDF later

 

Would be grateful of any help

blank of Last Actual Goods Issue Date of an Order Item

Dear all,

I have a question.

I'm using Order data in BI system.

The order data is using '2LIS_11_V_SSL' as dataSource.

Also, I'm using infoObject '0LST_A_GD' in '2LIS_11_V_SSL'.

The problem is that 0LST_A_GD don't have data whenever we input return order.

However, 0LST_A_GD have data correctly if we input standard order.

I have no idea why 0LST_A_GD don't have data for return order.

Is there any relationship between return order and 0LST_A_GD.

what field in ECC system trigger 0LST_A_GD in BI system?

Assigning a unit to a virtual key figure

Hi experts,

 

In a request, I need to multiply a stock issue quantity (non cumulative key figure) by the weight from 0MAT_PLANT.

As the weight (an unit of weight) in 0MAT_PLANT can change, I can't do the calculation in the infocube. That's why I created a virtual key figure to do it when the request is being launched.

 

The calculation is great, but I don't manage to assign the unit during the step.

 

When I debug, I see that the unit is assigned correctly, but then nothing appears on the request.

 

Here is the code:

BEx Web template

Hi,

      In default print version template is show static filter & dynamic filter value but i dont want that values. i need to display logo insted of  static & dynamic value.

The logo visible in print version level only. in the actual report level i don't want the logo.

 

if its possible to create global web template for Print version page.

in sap bi-user unable to run the bex query, when user refresh a query it clears out the entire screen instead of pulling in the data. user facing this problem consistently may have problems with log in being able to run this

BEX Query Designer not triggering Browser Window when executed.

HI Experts,

 

I'm using a remote connection for sandbox and installed SAP GUI 7.2.

When i tried to execute the report on Query Designer, the Internet explorer browser is not generating and Its not giving any error either.

If a blank browser is generated then we can go with the error log and try and fix the RFC connection, but in this case the browser itself is not generating

nor giving any error.

 

- Able to execute the query in RSRT

- Checked the RSECADMIN and the user is assigned with SAP_ALL role.

 

Can you anyone please suggest what need to be done to work this? Searched the forums but not found any answers.

how can i have this format of report?

Hi guyz,

 

I have this format of report..How can I make this kind of report in BEx Analyzer?

I tried making a hierarchy in RSH1 however I can only make a hierarchy for each infoobject.

 

I also tried making a structure in query designer and make a selection, however the values above are variable. Hence, the data will extend, such as for AGE infoobject, I can have 30, 31, 32, etc. values. Same with the PROMO infoobject, I can have Pants, Ballpen, Baller, etc. Therefore, this is not possible since I need to update the structure whenever there is a new data.

 

My temporary solution for this one is to make a query for each infoobject (thus I have a total of 3 queries in a workbook). However, since the data are variable, the rows will extend everytime there is a new data, therefore the data of AGE will OVERLAP with the data of PROMO. So, this is not also possible.

 

Do you guyz have any idea?

Dependent variables

Hi All,

 

I'm creating an report in Bex Query Designer, which will show some parameters in 3 columns(MONTH, PERIOD, YEAR), and further down each column will be drilled down in current and previous year. Something like this.

I use structure in columns where I've created 3 selections for 3 time frames, and restricted them with variables. In column period, I use 2 variables. Both of them are auto select period form first month of the year to the month that I choose on selection screen, but one ow them is targeting the same period for the previous year.

What's not clear to me is hot is this functioning. Obviously, variables in column PERIOD are referenced on variable month, but if someone can explain me how is this functioning and how to create these variables, especially the one that's selects previous year, because I would like to add variable that will select month of the previous year in column MONTH, based on selected month in selection screen.

How to Merge 2 characteristics in BEx

Hi All,

 

There is a requirement to combine Characteristics values in BEx,

For example,

These are the fields coming in from Info-provider, (There are some other Characteristics and Key Figures also)

 

Char1 Char2 Char3   KF1

1           6          A       100

2           7          A       200

3           8          B       300

4           9          B       400

5           10        B       500

 

 

Output required : if Char3 is A, then value of Char1 should be picked, If Char3 is B then value Char2 should be picked up, say it can be populated in a new Char4 or even if it can overrite in any of the Char1 or Char2 is also fine.

 

Char1 Char2 Char3   Char4    KF1

1           6          A          1         100

2           7          A          2         200

3           8          B          8         300

4           9          B          9         400

5           10        B        10        500

 

Let me know on how to achieve this.

Generating automated report via email

Hi gurus,

 

is there an opportunity to generate an automated report? For example if some values of key figures reached their target a report should be sent automated.

 

I only know the BEx broadcasting for sending reports via email. But as far as I know there is no opportunity to sent the report automated with Bex broadcasting.

BEx Variable - Stop Validation of entry

Hi,

 

Is there a way to stop a BEx variable from checking the selection exists in the database?

 

I am creating a user exit variable where i want to manipulate the entry but this entry does not exist in the master data tables.

 

if I enter a string which doesnt exist in the tables it says "invalid entry"

Dear all,

 

Please see the below snapshots

The report output shows "number of employee" colums.

But I want only the summation column of number of employees (which is appearing correct) to be displayed.

 

The columns which are to be removed from output are marked.

How to reflect Custom Header for a cell in WAD Analysis item

hello all,

 

currently i have a requirement where i need to show custom heading for cell header in the Analaysis Item.

I tried to change the settings one by one in  ( COL_WIDTH / CELL_TITLE / CELL_HEADER ) setting of Analysis item but din't found much difference.

 

or can this be achievable using XHTML code ?

Restrict the values in keyfigure

Hi Experts,

 

 

Good day!

 

I searhed in SCN before posting the thread and could'nt get the exact solution . Is the possible to restrict the data on keyfigure values in BEX level . I have keyfigure which  contains 0 and 1 and would like restrict the data on1  because my requirement in SAP IP if the user able to change the KF so i want to restrict keyfigure value in BEx level.

result calculation is wrong

Dear Guru's,

I find the query result adding up all te values is not correct.

All the key figures are fine but the sum of all these shown as result is not correct.

please advice on what can be done .
