Difference between Current date a Date In Bex

Hi All,

I have a requirement, wherein i am getting  Release Date for PR & PO and need to find the difference between the two dates which comes as characteristics. In some cases i am not getting the PO Release Date, in that case i should pick the system date on which the query is executed.

I have tried with formula variables but in that case i should keep both the dates in rows to display the difference in column, which is not my requirement.

I dont need the two dates in the row section.

please suggest a solution.
