BEx (Excel) query-filter dependencies

Hi experts,

I wonder if there's a way to make a query embedded into a BEx workbook

dependant to the filters set for a 'master'-query in the same workbook.

For example:

I'd like to filter query A (locally, not based on the variable) against the characteristic "customer".

At the same moment I'd like a 2nd query in the same workbook to derive that filter for itself as well.

Is there any (best-practice) way to get that working?

(I'm aware, that this could be done using a shared variable - but that has always the disadvatage that one needs to jump back
to a (maybe overfilled) variable-screen).
