I get the below error message, when I try to login to BEx Analyzer/Query Designer from Start->Business Explorer

Below is what I have tried and my Observations....
1)This issue is only when I try to connect via Start->Business Explorer. If I connect thru RRMX it works fine.
2)Telnet to '198.xx.xx.xx 3340' works fine. I get a blank screen.
3) Pinging to '198.xx.xx.xx gives, "Request Timed Out". But then I'm able to login thru SAPGUI to BW Server.
4) Services and Hosts File have all Entries as required.
I have referred SAP Note - 447882.
Kindly let me know the reason/solution for the above issue. I have checked multiple forums but couldnot find a solution.
