I have a BEx query that has two filters on 0COMP_CODE. The first filter is an authorization. This authorization limits USER_01 to only be able to see companies 1, 2, 3, and 4. USER_01 requested that only companies 1 and 4 show up on his report. Therefore we added a second filter to 0COMP_CODE that limits 0COMP_CODE to companies 1 and 4.
When I run the BEx query as USER_01 all four companies show up. I know I can make one of the filters ready for input and allow the user to select which companies the data will pull, but we want to run the report without human intervention.
This used to work we have always used an authorization variable for 0COMP_CODE and another characteristic restriction if the report needs only a specific company(s). Now all of a sudden the characteristic restriction is being ignored completely and is returning all companies that the user is authorized to see.
Can anyone help us figure out how to get the authorization variable restriction and a characteristic restriction to play nicely with each other?
