How to Merge 2 characteristics in BEx

Hi All,

There is a requirement to combine Characteristics values in BEx,

For example,

These are the fields coming in from Info-provider, (There are some other Characteristics and Key Figures also)

Char1 Char2 Char3   KF1

1           6          A       100

2           7          A       200

3           8          B       300

4           9          B       400

5           10        B       500

Output required : if Char3 is A, then value of Char1 should be picked, If Char3 is B then value Char2 should be picked up, say it can be populated in a new Char4 or even if it can overrite in any of the Char1 or Char2 is also fine.

Char1 Char2 Char3   Char4    KF1

1           6          A          1         100

2           7          A          2         200

3           8          B          8         300

4           9          B          9         400

5           10        B        10        500
