Navigational attribute

In My sales billing Cube   0REGION, 0IND_CODE_1, 0INDUSTRY  are Navigational attribute of 0CUSTOMER  But My TL Is assassin to get populate the   objects  using  read master date  in 0CUSTOMER (i.e  IN MAPPING     0REGION     READ MASTERDATA --------0CUSTOMER Like That)

please tell me what are the difference between  both (nav.attr & read master)
