Using Replacement path Process Type for New selection In Cell definition

Hi All ,

We have requirement to Show Specific documents data in One of the cells in Report .

We have used  Characteristic Variable with replacement path in Cell.But system is throwing an error "selection cant be used in structure "

Ex : need document no 1,2,3,4,5,6,

identifying these documents by calling another in restrcion for Document no 

Cant we use Characteristic Variable with replacement path cell definition
