Making default value as Key Date if data unavailable

Hi experts,

I have a requirement where, one of the characteristics is displaying some date values. Now if the date values are not available fo that characteristics, then in that case we have to set the default value as Key Date provided in the selection Screen.

Please let me know how can we achieve this.
