I have searched around and so far I have not been able to find a solution to what I am trying to accomplish. I am putting together a report in Query Designer presently.
I have a scenario where I would like to be able to have the report sorted by a key figure within the report.
What I would like to be able to do is to have the values descend, but to keep the Characteristic grouped values intact.
So for instance, if I have multiple sales values per customer, I would like the customer with the single-highest sales value to be at the top (with his other sales grouped values right below), then I would like to have the next customer (and various sales grouped) with the second-highest sales value be next.
I know that a basic method for sorting is to simply click the ascending or descending options on the key figure in the report, but this result is NOT what I would want. By clicking the descending option, it will simply take all the key figures and descend the values, but not keep the characteristic grouping intact.
Please advise. Your time and help is very much appreciated.
