A BeX query result is getting displayed in Bex Analyzer but when the same query we are running in BI java Portal through BeX Query Designer, the variable screen is coming but the results are not getting displayed , It just showing the processing symbol for hours. Can some one suggest the reason behind this ?

BEx Analyzer - set filter programmatically
Hi there,
we've created an excel sheet with numerours tabs, each with an different query.
When an filter on one of these queries is set, it should ne applied to all other queries too (without user interaction).
So my question is: Is it possible to get/set the filters for an query programatically so that it can be set to another query?

Publishing from BEx WAD to Portal crashes BW Server
We have a peculiar issue where the BW system shuts down once we click on publish to portal from BEx WAD. Any query, any template results in the same system crashing of BI7. However, from the BEx Query Designer, the report publishes fine to the portal.

workbook refresh gives different result
Hello SDNers
I am facing a strange problem. I have one workebook (based on only 1 query ) saved long time back. Now when I refresh this, it shows me the wrong result. However when I execute the same query from Bex analyzer, it gives me the correct result. This query has 1 condition on it and it's active.
I analyed all possible reasons 0- such as personalize variable values, change variable values option etc.
Kindly let me know what could be the reason for this.

calculate no of days at report and calculations required more than 180 will be 0 for next year
I am receiving start date and End date from source system. I
need to calculate number of days. ?
Formula for No. Days as follows
- No. Days = End Date – Start Date (If the end date
value is available), else last day of the current month – Start Date (If end
date values is blank).
If the number of days > 180 ( I need
to show 180 days only for that year), if the year is changing then number of
days should be zero.

FSCM Credit and Scoring formula calculation
Hi Experts
In SAP after creating formula through formula editor , do we need to update any value in the table for the calculations.
Is there any link link other than this below path:
SPRO- FSCM- Credit management- credit risk monitoring-master data-define credit formula ( then Formula editor)
SPRO- FSCM- Credit management- credit risk monitoring-master data- create rul for scoring and credit limit calculation
Other than this place, do we need maintain values any other place for the calculation.
It would be appreciated, if some one help me on this.
If you can, please send me some link or steps to create formula.

Bex Query Calculation at totals based on detailed level
Hi Gurus,
I have two reports in one workbook in the same sheet. One report is at part level detailed and other report is at Plant total level.
In the Plant level total I have to write some formulas based on the each part level to total and divide with whole Plant total. Two Reports are from Same Info Cube. Below is the example with data.

In the first table we have three parts ( grouped by color ).
For Direct Labor : I have to Calculate as shown below
(( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM ) + ( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM ) + ( Part Level Direct Labor * Part Level Total GUM )) / Plant Total GUM
Plant Total GUM -> From Plant Totals
Part Level Direct Labor -> From First Part Level Data
Part Level GUM Total -> From First Part Level Data.
How can I calculate the formula from parts data in the Plant Total report

Getting Life to Date values
Hi there folks,
I am trying to do a BEx query and the requirement is to show life to date values for orders along with the respective fiscal period values. What is the best way to achieve this so that only records for selected fiscal period are displayed but along with Life to date values?
Here is a rough layout of the query:
Order# Fiscal period $costs $costs (life-to-date)
10001111 001.2012 5,000 50,000
10001111 002.2012 5,000 50,000
10001112 001.2012 6,000 30,000

Product Hierarchy Re-Grouping for BEx Output
Hello Experts,
We have a Product Hierarchy built on 0material in our company and I recently realigned the nodes from one level to another to meet new reporting needs.
Here is the existing scenario:
I realigned all above nodes to meet my reporting requirments and I dragged Crackers, Salty food and Drinks from Level 03 into Level 02 along with BreakFast Frozen and Convenience material.
It looks like this now
I created a new Hierarchy variable on 0material on the BEx side but the problem is that when I pull this new hierarchy arrangement in the BEx query and run the report, I only see Crackers along with Breakfast Frozen and Convenience on Level 02 but dont see Salty Food and Drinks.
Note that I also have some "Not Assigned material" and I was wondering if Salty Food and Drinks are not been assigned. (not sure). but atleast I see Salty food in unassigned nodes for sure.
Since this is just a regrouping of nodes I was hoping that atleast I would be able to see all 6 nodes on Level 02 under the Root Node.
can anyone please advise the reason and what needs to be done to resolve this
ALSO CAN ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE IF THIS SOLUTION WILL NOT DISTURB OTHER LEVELS IN THIS HIERARCHY IN THE BEX OUTPUT IN THE REPORT AS I HAVE 7 HIERARCHY LEVELS 1 TO 7 (1 BEING ROOT NODE AND SO ON)

Size Limited Error in Bex Analyzer
Hi All,
We ran a report in BEx Analyzer and only 65535 rows are getting displayed, the rest of the data are not displaying. Is there any limitation on the no. of rows to be displayed. We are using SAP GUI 7.3.

Copy Query without RKF and CKF
Has anyone seen a program to copy a BEx query between multiproviders, but just rename the CIDs and/or overwrite existing RKF and CKF on the target multi?
Example. I have RKF on Source 1 and Target 2. I don't want to delete them every time and rebuild the queries. I want to change the RKF on source one and just overwrite the RKF on target 2 with my changes.

IF - Else condition is not working properly in Bex Query Designer
Hi All,
I have a KF called KPI Value. Based on the KPI Value, my report display has to show by using the if-else condition. If the KPI value is '999999' then that particular KPI value has to display as 'X' against to that KPI No. Thats all my requirement. To achieve this I have created a formula based on the KF.
(KPI Value == 999999)*(1/0)+(KPI Value <> 999999)*(KPI Value)*1
Unfortunately, the above expression is shwoing the entire colmn as 'X' irrespective of the KPI value. i.e., logic is not working 
Could any one please suggest how to achieve this requirement. Your assistance is highly appreciable and very helpful. Thank you in advance!!!

keyfigure currency issue
Hi All,
I have a data flow like flowing data from many dso`s to finally infocube.
As per my requirement i need to change the existing keyfigure currency property not as fixed currency, since we are given hard coded currency.
If i make this change how does it get affected in the entire data flow ?
Without deleting the existing data flows DSOs and cube data how to proceed further?
Instead of doing the above process can we create one more keyfigure and then add it in entire data flow? and what about historical data?

how to determine 0calday from 0fiscper field ?
we have a requirement where the user will enter the calmonth variable in the user input, and need to get the amount for top 20 customer's on sales, in the report. The problem is we dont have calmonth in the infocube. we have only 0fiscper and 0fiscalyear , and -0calday.
0calday is mapped to the transaction date. No calmonth in the infocube and we cannot add it now. its too late.
The columns we need in the report are ( orange color are column names)
customer YTD DEC 2012 ( sales amount) ....for top 20 customers. like
customer 1 99999 900
customer 2 55555 200
...................................
......
customer 20 11111 234
sample data is as follows: ...what I want is user will input 0calmonth and 0fiscalyear. and I need to display the data for that month . Please advise how to achieve it. YTD - is 1st of jan of the current year till today's date right ? Irrespective of the user entry variable. Is that right ?

All Hierarchy Nodes are not available in F4 help
Hi Expert,
I have two queries based on two multiproviders. We have one Info Obeject (Location) in both queries in selection screen having hierarchy node variable. These two queries have different variable but with same property. Same hierarchy has been used in both variables.
When i execute both reports, one is showing all hierarchy nodes in F4, those are defind in hierarchy itself when second reports does not show all nodes.
I am not able to figure out what may be the reason behind this.
Ideally, if I am using single object, single hirarchy in both reports, then F4 should show all nodes.

Issues with BEx Reports in SAP Enterprise Portal
Hello Experts,
I am facing issues with BEx reports integrated in portal. Below are more details:
Scenario1:
Execute a BEx report in the portal, save it in 'My Portfolio' using 'Save As' button. Now open the saved report from 'My Portfolio'. Below is the issue for this scenario:
- When I open the saved report, I get 2 error messages and 1 info message at the top of the report. They are as follows:
- The metadata of 'ITE' 'TEMPLATE_PARAMETERS' are incorrect for parameter 'COMMAND_PROCESSING'
- The metadata of 'ITE' 'FILTER_PANE_ITEM' are incorrect for parameter 'TEXT_WRAPPING'
- Variables for characteristic Fiscal year/period[0FISCPER] cannot be processed
Scenario2:
Execute a BEx report in the portal, save it in 'BEx Portfolio' or 'Favourites' using 'Save As' button. Now open the saved report and click on 'Send' button. As expected, the BEx broadcaster wizard should appear but, it shows '400 BAD HTTP REQUEST'. While if I open the report (not the saved one) and click on 'Send' button, it works.
Helpful pointers appreciated.
